Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the EdAIX (also known as “JobInstant”) Chrome extension and related website and services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by EdAIX, a MentorX company (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
EdAIX analyzes job descriptions on supported job sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, and Built In) and compares them with a resume you provide to generate match scores, gap analysis, and improvement and rewrite suggestions. The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate these results. The output is provided for informational purposes only and does not guarantee any employment outcome.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Premium, Pricing & Payment
- The Service offers an optional paid “Premium” plan that unlocks unlimited scoring and resume rewriting.
- Premium is sold as 3 months of access for US$20. Access ends when the 3-month period expires.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Prices and plan terms may change for future purchases; any change will not affect access you have already paid for.
5. Refunds
All sales are final. Because Premium access is delivered immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds, except where a refund is required by applicable law. By purchasing, you acknowledge that access begins immediately and you agree to this no-refund policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: attempting to circumvent usage limits or access controls; reverse engineering, scraping, or overloading the Service; using it to violate any law or any third-party site’s terms; or uploading content you do not have the right to submit.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of the resume and other content you provide. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service (for example, to generate match analysis and to save your resume to your account). See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
8. Third-Party Services & Sites
The Service relies on third parties (including Anthropic, Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Stripe) and operates on third-party job sites. We are not responsible for those third parties or for changes they make that affect the Service. The Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn, Indeed, or Built In.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match scores or suggestions are accurate or will lead to any particular result.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or employment, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the state in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
